United Kingdom - is always a good idea
Last week I headed to the UK for a class trip. I've never been to the UK before. So that was my very first time and I was super excited what it would like to be. I gathered countless experiences and was positively suprised, because I've seen many new places like Canterburry, Windsor, Eastbourne, London and mainly Brighton, because our hostel was situated over there what was pretty good. Another advantage of the accommodation was the location right next to the pier of Brighton. To mention it I visited all cities for just some hours excepted of Brighton. And I have to admit that we were also lucky with the weather.
In this blog post I want to tell you something about my first impressions of the places where I've been to. Canterburry, Windsor, Brighton, Eastbourne & London. . .
In Canterburry we've visited the cathedral, what was not so exciting. Fortunately we had some time to stroll through the streets after that, what was quite good. The thing I like most about this little city definitely are the lovely streets, were you can find many restaurants, coffees and shops.
The Windsor Castle is definitely a must when you come over here. This historical place of the british town was just impressive to see. And that's not the only thing Windsor can offer. When you're in the center of it you can find so many cute stores to shop clothes, sweets, food...
Oh Brighton! Well, what can I say? It was by far my favourite place of the ones I've visited and I could tell you plenty reasons for that. To begin with the sea and the pier, which you should visit once in a lifetime, because they are so beautiful. I cannot find another describtion for it. And to continue with the cool spots of Brighton around the towncentre, like the skate park or the basketball court, which is directly next to the sea. So, I can just recommend to everyone of you.
Seven Sisters Cliffs & Eastbourne
The Seven Sisters Cliffs or Beachy Head were by far the favourite part of the whole class trip. I've never seen such an incredible landscape like that. We hiked next to the cliffs, what was an unforgetable experience for me. Over there you could see the lighthouse and sea, what was a great spot to take some photographs. The results you can admire when you scroll down.
First of all I have to say that we've only been there for two hours, so that I havn't seen enough to judge it. In addition I have to admit that I actually can tell you only one fact about it, The beach and sea of Eastbourne were really nice, but the weather played a roll, as well.
I have to say that I was a little bit dissapointed about London, because everybody said things like "Yeah, you should come over here" or "It's my favourite city" so that I headed with big expectations to the capital of the UK. I have to admit that I only spent half a day there and can't jugde it. And of course it is a wonderful city, but by far not one of my favourites. But nevertheless I can tell you many beautiful places were you can go when you're in London and so I will do...
The Oxford Street is a great area to buy clothes or stuff like that, but it was so crowded that we don't wanted to spent much time there and we directly headed to the Piccadilly Circus. After that we continued our little "tour" by walking through the Sankt James Park which is a really lovely place to stay. Our next step was the Themse with the London Eye, where you definitely should go when you're in London. At the end of the day we planned to go to the SkyLounge Bar at the top of the Hilton-Hotel. Arrived, we had a drink and enjoyed the amazing view. Later we drove back with the underground and it was already time to say "goodbye UK, hope to see you again".
